Arrangements for Handling Complaints

The Governing Body of the school has endorsed the complaints procedure of the Local Education Authority, which lays down the arrangements for the consideration of complaints.

In the first place, all concerns should be discussed with the class teacher on an informal basis. Complaints should be addressed to the Headteacher. The first stage of the complaints procedure is an informal meeting to discuss issues so that difficulties can be resolved as soon as possible. After this stage a formal written complaint can be made by returning the appropriate form back to the Headteacher.

If the complaint is against the Headteacher it will be forwarded to the Chair of Governors and an investigation will take place.

If a resolution of the matter is not achieved or further advice is needed, the Local Education Authority, and/or Diocese may be contacted.
